So Smart DRE collects the minimum needed to run a study account: a username you choose, a password (stored only as a salted cryptographic hash — we cannot read it), optional profile fields (department/agency and role), and your study progress (checked-off plan items, drill scores, quiz results, flashcard stats, and your class-date schedule). If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive your account identifier and email address from that provider to create your account; we never receive your provider password.
No location, no contacts, no advertising identifiers, no analytics trackers, no cookies beyond the sign-in session stored on your own device. We do not sell, rent, or share your data with anyone. Study data exists for one purpose: showing you your own progress on your own devices.
Account and progress data is stored on Cloudflare's network (Cloudflare Workers KV) under So Smart Apps LLC's account, in transit over HTTPS only. A copy of your progress is cached on each device you use, so the app works offline.
You can permanently delete your account and all cloud data yourself, at any time, in two places: on the web at dre-study.pages.dev (sign in → profile → "Delete my account"), or in the app (Account → Delete account). Deletion is immediate and irreversible. Data cached on your own devices stays until you clear it.
So Smart DRE is a professional training aid for law-enforcement officers and is not directed at children under 13.
